Well, it's sold. Finally. No more living out in the sticks, 45 minutes from everywhere.
The real estate lawyer was supposed to direct-deposit my money this morning, but hey, still no money, and here it is, 4:35 p.m.
I called my Realtor, who called the lawyer, who said they did, in fact, deposit it this morning, and it's not showing up as being removed from their account yet.
You know what that means?
Yes, once again, this is the fault of a bank. I'm beginning to think I should just hide my money under my mattress, because banks have really been pissing me off lately.
Look. It's my money. Now, give it to me.
I know, I know. It's not like I need it right now. I'm just going to pay my parents back for the money they loaned me to get the house painted, and then I'm going to stick the rest in a CD, since we won't be buying a new house until Charles returns from his deployment.
But still, it won't feel like my house is really and truly sold and gone until I can see the money in my bank account.
