There's a reason there are no pictures

Spent all day Tuesday at home with my lil guy force-feeding him children's Motrin and Tylenol to bring down the 103-degree fever that started the night before.
By Tuesday afternoon, the fever had broken, and Drew was restless.
Fortunately, Tuesday nights are kids' nights at our local Chick-Fil-A, so we journeyed out for nuggets and entertainment. This week's kids' night featured a really brilliant face painter. She was awesome. She was making kids look like cheetahs, fairies, skeletons...pretty much if you named it, she could paint it.
It should come as no surprise that Drew requested to be painted to look like Spiderman. When she held a hand mirror in front of him after she was finished, his little face lit up like the sun. He was so ecstatic, he couldn't stop looking at himself in every reflective surface he could find, and several times requested I give him my compact so he could gaze at himself adoringly.
When we returned home, he stood on a stool in front of the bathroom mirror for ages, making silly faces and pretending to shoot webs from his wrists.
I did take a lot of pictures with my digital camera. And I did promise Drew that I would upload them to the computer so he could see them whenever he wanted. But my plans were thwarted when I realized I couldn't find the cord that connects the camera to the computer.
So I did what I always do when I can't find something. I cried.
OK, not really. I called Charles.
"Where's the damn cord for the camera?"
"Um," replied Charles. "I'm sort of in California."
"That's no excuse. Find the cord."
"Yeah. I'll, um....have to think about where that might be. I'll call you back."
In a later telephone conversation:
"Did you remember where the cord was?"
"Yeah."
"So?"
"It's in my camera bag."
"You know what my next question is going to be."
"The camera bag? Yeah. It's here."
"Here? As in California here?"
"That's right."

So. That's why I don't have any pictures to show you yet. They'll be here. Eventually.
